The Sompunt Deer Park was established in 1999.
Fascinated by these majestic forest inhabitants, the young farmer Klaus Castlunger began breeding red deer and fallow deer in 1999. The deer of the Sompunt Deer Park are the first BIOLAND-certified deer in all South Tyrol and all Italy.
The wildpark was—and remains to this day—a symbol of the protection of a species that is constantly facing changes to its habitat.
This project was launched with one aim in mind: to bring Alta Badia's visitors closer to the nature. The chance to get to know the king of the forest and his environment allows everyone to experience the animal world and observe it from different perspectives.
It is a true paradise for young and old, who have the opportunity to learn about the deer and its behaviour.

Welcome to Ütia Paraciora, {from Ladin; ütia = hut, paraciora = ugly pasture}!
This small mountain hut was built near the Sponata ski slope in 1993, and on 26 December of that same year, Wilma and Klaus Castlunger, sister and brother, began running the gastronomic activity.
Years have passed, but the hospitality and warmth have remained the same, and so we would like to welcome you.
